Terms and conditions

Last modified: January 7, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Query Drift website(s), application(s), and related services (collectively, the “Services”). “Query Drift,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Services. “you” and “Customer” refer to the person or entity using the Services.

By creating an account, signing in, connecting a third-party account (such as Google Search Console), or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.

1. Our Services

1.1 What Query Drift provides

Query Drift is a software-as-a-service platform that helps you analyze and improve search visibility and content alignment using data sources you connect or upload (including, where authorized, Google Search Console). The Services may include dashboards, reports, recommendations, exports, and other outputs.

1.2 No guarantee of outcomes

Search performance depends on many factors outside our control. You understand and agree that Query Drift does not guarantee rankings, traffic, revenue, indexing status, or any specific SEO result.

1.3 Changes to the Services

We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the Services from time to time (including adding or removing features). Where reasonably possible, we’ll try to provide notice of material changes.

1.4 Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If you are using the Services for a business, you represent you have authority to do so.

2. Accounts, Google Sign-In, and Security

2.1 Account registration

You may need an account to use certain features. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it updated.

2.2 Google authentication

If you choose to log in via Google, you authorize Query Drift to receive basic profile information needed to authenticate and administer your account (for example, name, email address, and profile image if available).

2.3 Account security

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials,

  • restricting access to your account, and

  • all activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Connecting Third-Party Accounts (Google Search Console)

3.1 Your authorization

If you connect Google Search Console (or any third-party account), you authorize Query Drift to access and process data you permit through that connection. You represent that you have the right to grant us that access for the properties/accounts you connect.

3.2 Scope and limits

We aim to request the minimum permissions required to provide the Services (typically read-only for Search Console). Access may be limited, revoked, or throttled by Google or other third parties at any time. If that happens, parts of the Services may not function.

3.3 Compliance with Google policies

When Query Drift uses Google APIs, Query Drift’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Subscriptions, Trials, Billing, and Taxes

4.1 Plans and fees

Some features may require a paid subscription. Pricing, plan limits, and included features are described at the time you subscribe or within the product.

4.2 Trials and promotions

If you use a free trial or promotional offer, you must comply with the applicable terms shown at sign-up. We may change or end trials/promotions at any time.

4.3 Renewals and cancellation

Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel future renewals at any time through your account settings or as otherwise provided in the Services. Cancellation stops future charges but does not retroactively refund already-paid fees unless required by law or explicitly stated.

4.4 Payment processing

Payments may be handled by third-party processors. You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize charges in accordance with your selected plan.

4.5 Taxes

Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or government charges associated with your purchase, except for taxes based on our income.

5. Customer Data, Outputs, and Privacy

5.1 Customer Data

Customer Data” means data, content, and information you (or your authorized users) connect, upload, submit, or make available through the Services (including Search Console data you authorize us to access).

You retain ownership of Customer Data. You grant Query Drift a worldwide, non-exclusive right to host, copy, process, transmit, and display Customer Data only as necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the Services and to comply with law.

5.2 Outputs and insights

The Services may generate reports, recommendations, summaries, and analyses (“Outputs”). As between you and Query Drift:

  • you may use Outputs internally for your business purposes, and

  • Query Drift retains ownership of the Services and underlying software, models, templates, and methods used to generate Outputs.

5.3 Aggregated and de-identified data

We may create and use aggregated and/or de-identified data (for example, product usage statistics) to operate, improve, and benchmark the Services, provided it does not identify you or your users.

5.4 Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information. The Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

6. Property Rights

6.1 Our intellectual property

The Services (including software, interfaces, designs, branding, documentation, and all related intellectual property) are owned by Query Drift or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws.

6.2 License to you

Subject to these Terms and your payment of applicable fees, Query Drift grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your internal business purposes during your subscription term.

6.3 Feedback

If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Services, you grant Query Drift a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use and incorporate that feedback without obligation to you.

7. Prohibited Activities and Acceptable Use

You agree not to (and not to allow others to):

  • use the Services for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity;

  • violate or attempt to violate security features or access controls;

  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code (except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law);

  • interfere with or disrupt the Services (including by introducing malware or running abusive automated requests);

  • scrape, crawl, or harvest the Services in a way that imposes an unreasonable load or bypasses rate limits;

  • share accounts outside your organization or exceed plan limits;

  • use the Services to build or train a competing product using non-public aspects of the Services (e.g., copying UI flows, reports, or proprietary methods).

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

8. Service Management, Support, Suspension, and Termination

8.1 Support

Support availability and channels (email/chat/help desk) may vary by plan. We may change support procedures over time.

8.2 Suspension

We may suspend access to the Services (in whole or in part) if we reasonably believe:

  • your use poses a security risk,

  • your use violates these Terms,

  • required by law, or

  • your payment is overdue.

When practical, we’ll try to provide notice and an opportunity to cure.

8.3 Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may terminate these Terms or your access if you materially breach and do not cure within a reasonable period, or immediately for serious abuse/security issues.

8.4 Data after termination

After termination, we may delete Customer Data in accordance with our retention practices and your applicable plan, subject to legal or legitimate operational requirements (e.g., backups).

9. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may integrate with or link to third-party services (including Google Search Console) that are not controlled by Query Drift. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their terms/policies. Your use of third-party services is governed by the third party’s terms.

10. Disclaimers

QUERY DRIFT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE COMPLETE, ACCURATE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR SPECIFIC PURPOSES.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUERY DRIFT’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO QUERY DRIFT FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in such cases, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Query Drift and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:

  • your Customer Data,

  • your (or your users’) use of the Services in violation of these Terms, or

  • your violation of applicable laws or third-party rights.

13. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last modified” date reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
