1. Information

1.1 Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

A) Information you provide

  • Account details you submit directly, such as your name and email address.

  • Any information you provide when you contact us (for example, support requests or feedback).

B) Google Sign-In (Google authentication)

If you choose to sign in using Google, we receive basic account information from Google such as:

  • Your name

  • Your email address

  • Your profile image (if available)

  • A Google account identifier used to securely link your login to your Query Drift account

We use this information to create and maintain your account, authenticate you, and provide the Services.

C) Google Search Console data (only when you connect it)

If you connect Google Search Console, Query Drift accesses Search Console data for the properties you authorize. This is typically aggregated site performance and diagnostic data, which may include:

  • Verified property list (e.g., URL-prefix or domain properties)

  • Performance metrics (e.g., clicks, impressions, CTR, average position) and related dimensions such as queries, pages, device, country, and date

  • Indexing and coverage-related information (e.g., indexing status categories)

  • Sitemap-related metadata (e.g., submission status/last read and discovered URLs)

We request the minimum permissions needed—typically read-only access—so we can analyze and report on your Search Console data inside Query Drift.

D) Usage and device information

We may collect information about how you use the Services, such as pages viewed, feature usage, browser type, device identifiers, and general settings like language preferences.

1.2 How we use your information

We use information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services

  • Authenticate users and secure accounts (including fraud prevention and abuse detection)

  • Personalize your experience (for example, showing the correct projects/properties)

  • Generate reports, insights, and analyses you request within the product (including query drift and Search Console-based reporting)

  • Communicate with you about service-related messages (e.g., verification emails, support responses, important updates)

Google user data limitation (Limited Use): Query Drift’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

1.3 What we do not do with Google data

  • We do not sell Google user data.

  • We do not use Google Search Console data to serve third-party ads.

  • We do not access Google services that you do not authorize.

1.4 Your choices and controls (Google connection)

If you connect Google Search Console, you can control or revoke Query Drift’s access at any time by:

  • Disconnecting Search Console inside the Query Drift product (if available), and/or

  • Revoking the app’s access in your Google Account settings

Revoking access will prevent Query Drift from updating reports that rely on Search Console.

2. Log data

When you interact with our Site or Services, we may collect log data such as:

  • IP address

  • Browser type/version

  • Pages or features accessed

  • Time and date of activity

  • Referring/exit pages

  • Error and performance logs (to diagnose issues and improve reliability)

We use log data to operate and secure the Services, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, and understand product usage trends.

3. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in (session/authentication cookies)

  • Remember preferences (such as consent choices)

  • Support core site functionality and security

You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, some parts of the Services may not function properly.

4. Data sharing

We may share information:

  • With service providers that help us run the Services (e.g., hosting, analytics, error monitoring, customer support tooling). These providers are permitted to process data only to perform services for us and must protect it.

  • For legal and security reasons if we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, protect our rights, or protect users and the public.

We do not share Google Search Console data with third parties except as needed to provide and operate the Services (for example, hosting and processing), in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and Google’s Limited Use requirements.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain personal information and connected-service data for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or de-identify information associated with your account within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legitimate business needs and standard backup retention.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. This may include encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices for systems that store authentication tokens or process Search Console data.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. External links

Our Site or Services may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. Please review their policies before providing personal information.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last modified” date. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
